Costs40 hour intensive course £1295.00*
£695.00*2 hour pay-as-you-go training session £70.00*(*Test fees not included, see DSA website for current ADI test prices) Before training to become an ADI:Before you start the qualifying process, you will need to apply to become a Driving Instructor. You can do this online at the DSA website or by filling in the application form enclosed with your ADI 14 starter pack. You will also need to apply for a Criminal Records Check. You can do this online at the DSA website or by telephoning 0870 850 2455 After qualifying as an ADI:During you period of registration, and when required to do so by the Registrar, you must undertake a test of ‘continued fitness to give instruction’, usually referred to as the ‘check-test’. You will be graded on: method, clarity, adequacy and correctness of instruction; the observation and proper correction of the pupil’s errors; manner, patience, tact and ability to inspire confidence. It is important to keep up to date in order to retain your grading. A sub-standard grade can result in you being removed from the Register. Refresher training prior to attending a check-test can be beneficial.
